SUPPORT STATEMENT TO OUR CUSTOMERS

At Gwe Preseli our level of service to you our customers is our number one priority.

NO EXIT FEES!

There are no exit fees if you wish to move away from our service. If you provide us with new DNS information for a new host and a new TAG for your .uk domain (via email) we will strive to set this new information within 2 working days… more often than not it will be just a few hours. At no cost.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Questions and complaints are dealt with swiftly. Most queries, questions will be dealt with within hours of receipt by email… at worst it will be within 2 working days. Please bear in mind that we do sometimes have to take a holiday and we enjoy camping in the hills of Mid-Wales away from internet and mobile phone coverage, if you are unfortunate enough to want something when we are on holiday then it will be dealt with swiftly on our return.

CHARGES – HOSTING (UPDATED)

All hosting now comes with SSL as standard. The SSL Certificate is supplied as part of the package, it will provide the green padlock in the browser bar, but it does not verify website owner identity. We can upgrade the SSL Cert for the main domain on the business and enhanced business packages, this will provide a SSL certificate that authenticates you as the website business owner… a sort of identity check and verification that gives your customers peace of mind when they use your website. See below for information on this upgrade.

• PERSONAL HOSTING, (SSL Hosted Single web site +  Email), £150 per annum
• WORDPRESS HOSTING, (SSL Hosted, per WordPress Site), £150 per annum
• BUSINESS HOSTING, (SSL Hosted up to  5 websites + Email), £500 per annum
• ENHANCED BUSINESS HOSTING, (SSL secure hosting for ecommerce + Email), £1000 per annum
• DEDICATED VPS, (Our highest tier of hosting), £4000 per annum

CHARGES – SSL CERTIFICATES

• SSL CERTIFICATE FOR MAIN WEBSITE ON BUSINESS AND ENHANCED BUSINESS HOSTING, £200 per annum (including setup)

CHARGES – DOMAINS

• .uk domain names £25 per two years… no extra hidden fees. This includes setup costs and DNS Hosting costs (Price rise due to wholesale price increas in Jan 2020)
• .com, .org & .net £30 per annum… no extra hidden fees. This includes setup costs and DNS costs
• .cymru / .wales £40 per two years… no extra hidden fees. This includes setup costs and DNS Hosting costs
• .??? domains POA as the prices vary so much

DOMAIN RENEWALS

We provide a no hassle service so domain names are renewed automatically if we do not hear from you that you no longer need/want the domain names. You will be invoiced before renewal, the domains will be renewed when the invoice is paid. Please note, should you not pay the invoice before the domain is due to expire, sometimes the domains are lost for ever and can not be renewed. There are a lot of very unscrupulous people out there that will grab the domain and then ask for silly money to give it back to you. We will not undertake trying to recover domains for you as it is too costly and time consuming (unless the domain has been lost because of our own fault in which case we will recover it for you).

If you no longer want your domain name you must give us at least 28 days notice. Thank you.

COMPLAINTS / ABUSE

Complaints must be sent to us via email… the address is above… substitute the <at> and <dot> for the real things. It has been published in that odd format to prevent spambots from sending me even more junk email sorry. We will do everything we can to make sure you are satisfied. If you wish to leave our service then we will do everything we can to make that hassle free.

.uk COMPLAINTS

If we fail to resolve your complaint then I am at a loss what may have gone wrong… if it is in relation to a .uk domain name you can take your complaint to Nominet, the authority for the .uk namesapce. see www.nominet.uk, they have a Dispute Resolution Service, you may want to check that out. I tried using it once, fat lot of good it was. One of our long term customers had their .uk domain name registered in the name of their website designer, and he wanted to charge them £90 for them to have it back so they could employ a new designer. Nominet were useless in this case. The domain is still in the original designer’s name even though the £90 was paid to him. We are hosting the domain for our customer now but still need to get the ownership resolved though… I digress, sorry!

Nominet have a COMPLAINTS SERVICE as well which may be able to help you out in case you have a complaint about the service they provide or a service we provide as a member and registrar (TAG holder) of Nominet.

Nominet the .UK domain name authority have made us put all of this compliance information on our website even though we are no longer seeking new customers, and all we have left are a handful of loyal long term customers whom we know personally – we hope you have found it useful.
